Dr. Laura Johnson
Hi, I'm Dr. Laura Johnson and I joined Tender Care in July 2008. I attended Colorado State University and graduated from vet school in 1983. I worked as a small animal veterinarian in La Crosse for 25 years before moving to Prairie du Chien. I am married to Neil Rettig and have one daughter, Kara. We have a cat, Charlie, as well as a number of birds on our farm outside of Prairie du Chien. I am a wildlife rehabilitator and Neil is a wildlife film-maker and falconer, so we usually have an array of interesting creatures at home. I enjoy soft tissue surgery, ultrasound, and challenging internal medicine cases. I also have a special interest and experience in avian medicine. I love witnessing the important role animals play in our lives, and look forward to helping keep your beloved pets happy and healthy.
